Realtor Advice: When should you start looking at homes?

Most realtors would answer that question by saying NOW is always the best time to start purchasing a home.

However, it is always best to start looking at homes to purchase is 60-90 days before your lease expires. This gives you enough time to research all of the options that the market has to offer.

Ask yourself these 3 questions before you begin your home search: 

1) What is my monthly budget? 

2) Do I plan to stay in the Washington DC area for at least 2+ years?

3) What neighborhood can I see myself living?
